  2. Modern Threats to Marriage and Children • Increase of divorce • Youth rebellion • Secularism • Drug addiction • The rise of Satanism • Loss of Christian values • Wrongful expression of Sexuality • ____________________ ?

  3. Families in the Light • Families can be different from the world they live in. • God will protect families as He did the children of Israel. • Families who live in the light are a witness to others.

  4. Priority 1: Ensure You have the Light • Jesus is our source of Light • Family worship • Prayer • Bible study

  5. Activity • Discuss the importance of ensuring Jesus’ presence in the home. • Parents, make a commitment to your families to work together for the Light of the world to shine from your home.

  6. Extended Family: Activity • Think of an extended family member with whom you can share your faith. • Make a list of three activities you could do with those family members to strengthen your relationship.

  7. Extended Family • Avoid imposing your own religious beliefs. • Lead with personal testimony. • Be attentive to satisfying their needs. • Strive to be the “best” you can.

  8. Friends’ Homes: Activity • Think of a family with who you could share your faith. • Make a list of 3 activities to do with them in order to strengthen your friendship. • Share your ideas with the others.

  9. Friends’ Homes • Be a channel of blessings. • Study the Family-to-Family program guide. • Activity: Meet together as a family and pray for the family you chose in the previous activity.

  10. Families in the Community: • Share the blessing of salvation with others. • Reach beyond your close family circle. • Build a missionary family.

  11. Family Missionary Project • Participate together in the task of serving others. • Visit someone who is sick • Pay a friendship visit to a shut-in • Invite one or two of your children’s friends to church and a meal on Sabbath. Provide transportation if needed. • Do you have more ideas?
