REFLECTION OF LIGHT • REFLECTION IS WHEN LIGTH BOUNCES OFF OF OBJESTS AND COMES BACK. • LIGHT REFLECTS EASIER OF OFF SMOOTH AND SHINY OBJECTS. EXAMPLES! ALUMINUM FOIL, GLASS, AND CALM WATER
REFLECTION OF LIGHT • LIGHT CAN ALSO REFLECT OFF OF ROUGH SURFACES, BUT THE IMAGE IS NOT ALWAYS COMPLETE. EXAMPLES! WRINKELD FOIL, CRACKED MIRRIORS, AND A CRYSTAL.
HOW LIGHT IS REFLECTED • IF A RAY OF LIGHT IS HITTING A SMOOTH/SHINY/ROUGH SURFACE AT AN ANGLE, IT WILL REFLECT OFF OF THE SURFACE IN THE SAME ANGLE IT STRIKES.
ABSORPTION OF LIGHT • LIGHT ISN’T ALWAYS REFLECTED OFF AN OBJECT IT IS ALSO ABSORBED. • DARK OBJECTS GET WARMMER THAN LIGHT OBJECTS. • EXAMPLES: DARK COLORED CLOTHES ABSORBS MORE HEAT THAN WHITE CLOTHLES, ROADS TO GRAVLE, AND
ABSORBPTION OF LIGHT • LIGHT THAT IS ABSORBED BY OBJECTS IS CHANGED INTO HEAT ENERGY. • LIGHT THAT SHINES DOESN’T ALWAYS REFLECT.
