Your webpage must include the following: • Images related to Information Technology • The College Logo • Information on BTEC courses, Information on the Units that will be studied on the BTEC IT course. • Information on the IT facilities available within the College • TASK 1 • Create a storyboard for your webpage, you must include the following • A navigation panel, including buttons/links (located at the top of the page) • The location of any images and a brief description of the image • Background colour • Font, font size and font colour • Location of text panels • Location of images • Task 2 • You will now create your webpage using iWeb. • Task 3 • Your website will be reviewed and critiqued by a student in your class

Main: Web Site – Web Production • ‘You currently work for a web production company. Your manager wants to give you the responsibility of designing a new website. Pleased with the background information you have provided, your manager now would like you to begin considering and designing a website for a new client. Using the client brief provided, complete the following:’ • Task 1 • Using the client brief with your proposed ideas for the design ( storyboard), you must create a website using iWeb to meet the intended criteria. Ensure your website includes the following: • A minimum of 1 page • Suitable graphics to meet client and user needs • Suitable content to meet client and user needs
COLLECTING YOUR WEBSITE CONTENT Go on the Internet using Safari or Firefox and open the college website www.blackpoolsixth.ac.uk 2. Did you listen to everything I said at the beginning of the session ,what can you recall? 3. Save any images by right-clicking on them and save them on the desktop WHERE IS THE RIGHT CLICK BUTTON ? Just hold down the ctrl key when you click on anything. NOW USE iWEB to create yourwebsite

iWeb 2.Look for iWEb and click on it 1. Click on the desktop > GO > APPLICATIONS
Pick a theme Select the Welcome template Click on Choose
This is where you can change the background colours Click on Site Inspector
Google Blackpool Sixth Form or go on the college website www.blackppolsixth.ac.uk Right click on the image you want to use and select ‘Copy Image’ then paste it onto your iWeb page For BTEC information read the ‘Our Courses’ page on the college website

TIME TO HAVE A LOOK AT WHAT YOU HAVE DONE SO FAR 2. Click on Publish Site 1. At the bottom of the page, click on > Publish Site 3. Read the warning and click on Continue

7. Click on Visit Site Now and it will load up and open in a Web Browser
