Embedded Authentic Research Project in a Mineralogy Course (LEARN SCIENCE BY DOING SCIENCE)

This embedded authentic research project in mineralogy course allows students to engage in a range of analytical methods to prepare a consulting report for Tintina Resources. The project covers professional standards, sampling, lab protocols, data fidelity, and writing skills. Components include literature review, field trip, sample preparation, X-ray diffraction, SEM/BSE/EDS, compositional analysis, and the submission of an integrated consulting report.
