Analysis 1. HBD: • events must have at least one pad with A>16 ADC counts • events with more than 10 fired pads are rejected • shape analysis: samples (8+9+10)/3 – sample 0 2. Central arm: • DC-PC1 no quality selection • PC3 matching: |dphi|<0.015 && |dze| <7 • EMCal matching: |dphi|<0.02 && |dze| <7 • Hadrons: Electrons: n0 < 0 0.2 < ecore < 0.4 n0 > 0 ecore > 0.5 3. HBD 3– central arm matching • straight line projection of central arm track onto HBD • closest HBD hit with A > 16 ADC counts. In electron analysis closest hit cannot be at edge of detector • neighbours with A > 4 pedestal sigma

Hadron spectra in FB 203116 203142 203145 203146 204195 204198 • Observe in all cases a typical mip pulse height distribution nicely fitted with a Landau distribution • Derive detector gain from the mean of distribution
