TEAM MEMBERS Shekinah Ball- Team leader: Organizes and edits all of the information that her three head people in charge find and give to her Marc Sever- Graphic Designer: Responsible for all the pictures posted on the website and overall design of the website. Givanna Roper- Researcher: Responsible for researching all of our problems investigated Mykens Sever- Webmaster: picks the layouts for the website and responsible for all of the links and web pages.

Strengths and Interests • Marc Sever has a does not have a strong interest in Graphic Design but he is very good in design. • Mykens Sever is not the best at being webmaster but he is good enough to get the job done. • Givanna Roper is good on going out and researching our different problems for our investigations and it is definitely her strong point. • Shekinah Ball is good at collecting all of the information and making the best decision for the group.

  4. Biographies • Givanna Roper is a senior at Blanche Ely High School and is currently drum major and the lead alto sax in the jazz Kats. Givanna came into Ely as a lost freshman like most of us do and found her way when she joined the band in 10th grade as a flagette. The second semester she tried out for drum major and began learning how to play the saxophone. Just as she hoped, dreamed, and prayed, she finally became drum major. From there she has become an esteemed saxophonist and oboist- now she works for the bandaroos.

  5. Mykens, Marc, and Shekinah joined the band their freshman year in high school already playing their instruments from middle school. They all joined the band playing their primary instruments. Shekinah playin baritone, Marc plaing tuba, and the Sleepy child Mykens playing trombone. Although Mykens told the BEHS band’s director “that it would be a cold day in hell before he plays trombone again”. Shekinah became baritone section and vice president of operations during 10th and 11th grade. She became baritone section leader again her senior year and President. Marc became Vice President of operations his junior year and for his senior year he will be President and tuba section leader. Mykens became trombone section leader his 11th and 12th grade years in high school.

  6. Problem • How can we make keeping track of patient’s medical records and data easier for doctors and nurses and make it more portable? • The problem posed affects doctors and nurses. • If this problem goes unsolved, then losing patient’s files and different charts will have a more likely chance of happening. In the event that one of the Dr.Berry’s become missing, more than one nurse/doctor will have a copy of the patient’s medical history on file. • This problem is in my opinion narrowly defined and most definitely solvable by today’s technology.

  7. Research and Investigation • The PDA would have a touch screen and when you slide it open, a full QWERTY keyboard. It will come with either 8MB of memory or 16MB of memory. The home screen will show the time and date and have different menu options available: create a new file, calculator, medical dictionary, weather, and also links to sciencedaily.com, sciam.com, google.com, webmd.com, and genome.gov (to keep them updated on the latest scientific findings).

Analyze and Refine idea for the Best Solution • The idea presented on the previous slide, is what our mentor suggested that we go with so that is the model we will be using. • The phone company used to make this PDA will be HTC. • This company already has a phone model very similar to the PDA (Dr. Berry) described. In order to manipulate to what we want it to be we would have a variety of different things on it.

  13. Lessons Learned • All of the ideas new and old helped me to learn a lot about modern technology. This idea may become a reality because it is definitely possible. • None of the ideas failed and I would not change any part of this project. • My team also learned about different career opportunities in the medical field that do not involve knowing more than the basics in medicine.
