Early Life • William Henry Harrison was born on February 9th, 1773 in Charles City Country, Virginia. • William was the youngest of seven children. He had four sisters and two brothers.
William attended Hampden- Sydney college from 1787-1790. He was 18 when he joined the U.S. army. He married Anna Symmes and had 10 kids. John Adams made Harrison secretary of the northwest territory. Life Before he was President
Being President • Harrison was the ninth president of the United States. His vice president was John Tyler. On the day he moved into the White House he caught a cold and it turned into pneumonia. He died April 4th, 1841 after one month in office.
Later years • After Harrison died John Tyler, the vice president became president. This was the first time a vice president became president because of the death of a chief executive.
