  2. Three Questions • What is the opportunity? • How to win in the innovation game? • How to achieve the impossible?

What is the opportunity? • A period of significant uncertainty and fear and a time of questions about role of business in society • However, also a great time to rethink business and competitiveness • Now is the time to be bold in action • The first step is to be able to ask the right questions

  4. How to win in the innovation game? • Multiple aspects, but most important is “talented people” • Develop your own – create world class universities • Attract the best – make them “feel at home” • Leverage diversity - while strengthening identity

  5. How to achieve the impossible? • Innovation is horizontal – be creative (“a la Obama”) • “Good is the enemy of great” – banish satisfactory underperformance • Be inspired – and help to inspire the young • Be passionate – for a greater cause
