Target Groups primary Physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speechtherapists, as well as other occupations belonging to the medical services (e.g. the medical masseur) within europe Centres for vocational training and further education for therapeutical and/or medical occupations • secondary • the institutional employers of the primary target group (e.g. clinics, sanatoriums, wellness-facilities etc. ) • Regions with a weak economical infrastructure and high unemployment rates • European citizens • The health and social system of the European Union
Why? • Medical Need: • Combination of prevention and health promotion is on the medical level more or less covered • Within the therapeutical occupations this is not the case • Health Need: • The development of concepts for the training and further education of therapeutical occupations • Employees in this area are the first point of contact for questions regarding prevention • Lack of professional and specialized competences • Educational Need: • EU target, to develop europe into the World`s most innovative economical market and most active academic society by the year 2010
Social Need: • Patient/ citizen compliancey (health-consciousness of each indiviual) • Increasing investment in health screening • Demand for first-rate advice and medical care • As a result of patients` life-styles (bad nutrition, lack of exercise, smoking, alcohol) Labor Market Need: Economical hope for weak structured regions, making them economically attractive again Need for first-class educated proffessionals Result: Desperate need for proffessional therapists Completely new demands
Aims • Main aim • To develop and test a pilot training model that is based on competence and Blended Learning
Aims in Detail • Carry out a specific survey (in all the partner countries, a survey of the necessary training programme requirements within the framework of each individual country) • Create a catalogue of competences (Divided into professional, methodical and social/personal competences as a base for the development of the training programme and training moduls) • Development of a training programme (taking into account the competences assessed) Development of entrance and exit criteria and competences for the individual modules
Development of the Blended Learning Solution Using the existing E-learning plattform to teach the study contents (CADpartner) Teaching the specific target group comptences using a Blended Learning Solution A methodical and meaningful combination of attendance learning - E-Learning - Peer Group-/Self-study The usual learning process is supported by the synchronous (live) and asynchronous E-Learning interactive possibilities such as tutorials, discussion forums and FAQ-forums Additional self study Peer Group Learning (small study groups work together on specific problem-solving themes) Summary of the learning methods = Blended Learning Solution =
Development of an APL-Procedure:(Accreditation for Prior (Experience and) Learning) • Application of a model to register and validate competences already present in the separate partner countries • Aim to promote competences that are not yet present • Develop an accreditation-model for specific competences in advisory health promotion Piloting of the Training: • Practical implementation of the results and the current project • Piloting of all model components in three partner countries (DE, ES, FI) • Aim to make the training programme, with all its components adaptable and marketable for all partner countires
Valorisation and Quality guarantee: • Valorisation and distribution of the project results is one of the project`s own aims as well as part of various project phases • Continued guaranteed qualitiy during the whole time of the project with regards to the product, process and impact
