Population Growth - 2050 • World population currently 7.1 billion will increase to 9.7 billion • UK population will swell from today's 62.2 million to 77 million + 24% • Equivalent to combined populations of Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds • Bigger than France (70 million proj.) and Germany (71.5 million proj.)
