  3. What is descriptive text? • Descriptive text is the text that explain or describe about something • Its purpose is to describe and reveal a particular person, place, or thing.

  4. GENERIC STRUCTURE • Identification : identifies phenomenon to be describe and introduce who, where, or what being described. • Description : describe parts, qualities, and characteristics of the subject.

  5. LANGUAGE FEATURES • Focus on the specific participant • Use of adjectives • Use of simple present tense • Use of linking verb/relating verb • Use of degree of comparison

  6. Spesification that use to describe someone • Someone’s tall • Someone’s weight • The color of someone’s hair • The shape of someone’s face, body, eyes, nose, etc. • Someone’s characteristics • Someone’s habit

  7. Spesification that use to describe place • It’s location • It’s situation • It’s condition • It’s attractiveness
