  4. What are some facts that you know about counting money?

  5. Pesos rosados • Van a recibir pesos morados. • Cuéntale los pesos en voz alto a sucompañero.

  6. Balancing the till • When people work with money and a cash drawer the money has to be counted. There are some people that can count money really fast and accurately. • The money is usually counted out according to the bills. So all ones will be counted and the number written down. Then the tens and so on. • When counting ones they are bundled into groups of 25. Each bill faces the same way. • When counting money it is always wise to count it twice to make sure you have the same number or you count and then have someone else count. • If the numbers differ the money has to be counted again.

La tienda • You may set up in pairs or as individuals. • Decided if you will barter for your product • Set a price for your product that you would settle on. • Write the price down. • Do you have a clearance price. • You may buy or sell as much as you would like. • You will have 10 minutes to buy or sell or if the purchasing dies off we will call time before then. • After the 10 minutes of buying and selling you may eat your purchases. • Be sure to fill in the tally sheet.

  11. Extra points • Points will be given for participation. • Extra points will be given for the following: • Purchasing the most products • Selling the most products • Having the largest increase from start and end pesos.

  12. Turn in pesos • Turn in your pesos to Sr. Slade’s desk in neat stacks of 1s 10s, 20s, 50s and 100s • Get a computer and a charger.
