Cymbals • One of the most common cymbals in the drum set is the high hat. • The high hat can usually be set to be open or closed, depending on the pedal position
Cymbals Cont. • Another popular cymbal is the ride cymbal. • It can be hit in three different places: the bow, the bell, and the edge
Cymbals Cont. • The crash cymbal, when hit hard, is made to sound like an actual crash • There is also concert crash cymbals • The last main cymbal is the splash cymbal, which is much smaller version of the crash cymbal and can be taken off the set to be replaced by another accessory, like a cow bell
Drums • One of the two main drums is the snare drum. • There are two types of snare drums: the concert and the marching

Toms • Toms are drums that are mounted on the bass drum or on stands. Toms have no snares and come in many different sizes
