Govt Power Team (Cathy Ileto) • Labor Bills – BPAP has drafted a bill amending the night work provision or Art 130-131 of the Labor Code exempting permanently our industry from this provision (for adoption by the House Committee on Labor as a committee bill). BPAP is also drafting a position on wage increase. QT assisting BPAP to consolidate all proposed amendments to Labor Code • IPR and Data Privacy Bills – BPAP ED Cathy Ileto & Gov’t Committee have submitted its position on the Data Privacy Bill sponsored by Congresswoman Liwayway-Chato. Membership Power Team (Manny Guillermo, Co-Chair) • New members: • 8 applicants approved and being scheduled for induction • 29 applicants in process • Breakthroughs! • 5th edition to be released in June • Exploring bi-monthly vs quarterly issues to capture industry dynamism • Membership strategy: proactively invite companies that could contribute a lot of value to support the BPA/P mission. BPA/P is not about just increasing the number of members but in building industry-member relations that are mutually valuable. • New Committee are welcome! Interested members may contact Nette Roselo. The Committee meets every second Wednesday of the month at 5 p.m. at BPA/P.
