Current situation • Several programs and different Excel spreadsheets are used to make all nutrition related calculations in emergencies • Some of them are still DOS based, complicated to use and mostly fully different to each other • There is no real standardization between these programs or procedures which people apply in the field

  3. Aim of this part of the SMART project Development of a new Windows based software: • Complementary to the SMART Methodology handbook • Including all important calculations which are related to nutrition in emergencies • Small size for easy download and distribution • Easy to use and data entry and evaluation as much as possible automatic
