As I went into English class I saw the TV was on and saw the 2nd plane crash into the building live. • Q: How did this event affect your faith/church? • A: I remember praying a lot during the day. Many people questioned why God let this happen. I also remember a lot of people were emotional and wanted comfort.

  5. On-The-Scenes Article As the World Trade Centers collapsed, there were many bystanders watching in shock and fear. We caught up with one of them a day later to get their reaction to this significant event. Mr. Mr. Moyer said that he was in the middle of his Wood Technology class when the first plane hit the building. He then walked unknowingly down the hallway to his tenth grade English class and noticed that the TV was on in the room. “This doesn’t make sense,” he thought to himself. As he watched the television, he realized that history was in the making. Soon after, as if he were watching a terrible movie, he saw the second plane come into the picture. It violently crashed into the second building as the horrified reporter could not believe what he was seeing. It was as if this was a bad dream or almost like someone had pressed the rewind button but made the plane go into the wrong building. This event made many people question God, he remembered. His pastor had a sermon about how God can use bad events for his glory too. As Mr. Mr. Moyer said himself--”It was as if the world had stopped. There were no sporting events, no shows on TV other than the footage, and no airplanes flying through the air. I knew I had been a part of history.”

  7. Famous Person Interview Following the events of September 11th, we were able to catch up with Mr. Mr. Moyer, star high school baseball player and future friends with Mr. Music. Here’s what he had to say. “ I remember it just like it was yesterday. I had been in school dreaming about how I was going to hit 10 homeruns in today’s baseball game when I noticed that the television was on in class. I was hoping that it was “Sportscenter,” but was shocked and appalled to see the World Trade Centers collapsing before my very eyes. I had even seen the second plane crash into the building as if reliving a horrible dream. People were jumping off of the high floors of the building. There was screaming in the streets. My game got cancelled that night and the next day at Youth Group we prayed for all of the victims. It was sort of surreal at the time to think about what just happened.”
