??Questions?? • Why and when were the “Einsdatzgruppen” formed? They were formed to carry out the mass murder/killing of Jews, Communist Functionaries, and others that the Nazi’s deemed “unfit.” They were first seen in the year 1938, in Austria. There primary mission was to aid in the campaign against Russia in the spring of 1941. Adolf Hitler issued an order, ordering the police and security services to aid the army in combating resisting the front lines. • Who were the men that made up the “Einstazgruppen?” Who assisted the mobile killing squads in carrying out their assignments? The “EinstazGruppen” commanders were carefully selected by Heydrich from the highly educated and most fanatical Nazi’s. The men that made up the “Einstazgruppen” were: doctors, head police of criminals, etc • Death was what happened at “Babi Yar” that caused even nature to express such a terrible judgment. • Why is it important to remember the mass murder at “Babi Yar?” why must the world know about and never forget such atrocities? We (Luis, Jasmine, and Jose) think that it is very important for the world to know about these events and never forget about them because they were such big parts of history with such big amounts of murders, all the suffering, the ripping apart of families, all those broken dreams of the people that are now dead. • How were the “Einstazgruppen” a prelude to the gas chambers and ovens of death camps? A more convenient mode of killing be developed. The result was the “gas van: a mobile gas chamber mounted on a chassis of a cargo truck, which was built for the trucks carbon monoxide to be blown into the chamber to kill the victims. http://www.ushmm.org/wlc/en/article.php
The Psychology What was psychology required to engage and be involved in the Nazi state and be committed to a policy of genocide? Was this truly the case? What were the psychological consequences of serving in these mobile killing squad? Examine the rationale of this statement and ponder the mentality required to reach such a conclusion. they want a easier way to killing people and the result was gas vans a mobile gas chamber surmounted on the chassis of a cargo truck which employed carbon monoxide from the trucks exhaust to kill its victims. They felt guilty of killing people so they got drunk heavily, they spoke in euphemism of special action. The mobile killing squads followed the German army as it advanced deep into soviet territory, and carried out mass murder operation.
