Role of National Experts (1) National Experts have the task to collect the data for their country and to deliver the database to the EGTEI secretariat with the help of National Industry Associations, Inventory, Energy or Sector Experts (e.g. steel, refinery) etc. who may of course sub-contact their relevant sources of techno-economic information. Data collection should be organized on the basis of the tool and the working documents respectively.

Role of National Experts (2) • Establish contacts with the Sector (...etc.) Experts • Coordinate information request and document transmittal to them • Check consistancy of data backflow (in tool/documents) • Make sure that transparency and documentation of data origin is accounted for • Possibility for Sector (...etc.) Experts to export data set (on RAINS sector level) into export file to be imported by National Expert • Possibility for National Expert to export data set on country level (generated export file) to be transmitted to EGTEI, where it will be imported into “mother” DB

Users download Database or get a CD copy • Only the user‘s changes will be saved in a separate ACCESS sheet • Each Sector Expert (behind Nat. Exp.) only delivers specific sector ACCESS sheet back to the National Expert • National Experts collect country sector backflow by importing into one Database, check consistency and provide DB to EGTEI
READ ONLY – Version on Server • Applies when experts do not dispose of (compatible) ACCESS-version • Experts can view data on CITEPA server & in working documents • Send their comments on data, choice of reference installations, abatement measures etc. per e-mail (as Word [with screen shots] or Excel file) back to National Expert • National Expert collects data & administrates backflow to EGTEI
