  2. What is art? • Art is human creations intended to express beauty and messages.

  3. Who? When? Where? Why? • Phidias: The famous and greatest Greek sculptor. • He lived from the year 500 B.C.E.- 432 B.C.E. • Most of his work was done in Athens. • He enjoyed making sculptors. Phidias was the only one who could picture an image of a god or goddess in his head.

  4. How did it influence modern society? • Its so long back, yet its still is around us today. • Old ancient Greek ideas lead us to new inventions. • White house: made from the designs of ancient Greece temples.

  5. What would life be like without art? • Art is the main reason for historical places that we visit. • Also without ancient Greek art we wouldn’t have these amazing paintings we see on walls.
