The Need Personal injury litigation is expensive, adversarial, time consuming, demoralizing and can prolong illness. The Solution Restorative mediation will promote wellness, is cost effective, can deal with emotional , human and financial needs. The process is more likely to provide greater satisfaction for participants.
The Vision People involved in personal injury or medical error claims will resolve their disputes in a respectful and restorative manner. The Mission To promote the use of restorative justice principles of engagement, accountability, and restoration to repair the harms caused as a result of a personal injury or medical error.
The Progress • Developed a RM training manual • Provided orientation/training in Colo. Springs • Developed implementation manuals • Presented to 50 USAA adjusters and managers • Created the RMP website • Ongoing process to create awareness, acceptance and use of RM
