Compensation Plan • Guaranteed current MCHS base hourly wage for first 30 days • Production-paid after 30 days (per adjusted line) • Employee status: Taxes taken out • Direct deposit • Paydays twice a month (10th & 25th)
Compensation Background • It takes less time to edit speech recognized lines then to type a non-speech recognized line • Some national transcription services will pay one rate for traditionally transcribed lines and a different rate for edited lines • We have found these rates to average $.03-.04/edited line
Adjusted Lines & Conversion Factors Demystified • Amphion has chosen to pay its MTs one pay per line rate • Triton MTs can edit 1 1/2 lines in the same amount of time as they can traditionally type 1 line • This is where the "conversion factor“ was derived from • “Conversion factor” = 1.5 edited lines converts to 1 traditionally transcribed line in Triton • In order to pay one pay per line rate, the pay rate needs to take into account both edited lines and traditionally typed lines • This is where the “adjusted line" was derived from • "Adjusted lines“ = your traditional transcribed lines combined with your converted-to-traditional edited lines.
Triton Compensation Model $0.090-.093/adjusted line • $0.090/adjusted line Quality level 1 98.8% to 99.1% • $0.091/adjusted line Quality level 2 99.2% to 99.5% • $0.092/adjusted line Quality level 3 99.6% to 99.9% • $0.093/adjusted line Quality level 4 100%
What if Amphion paid two separate line rates? • If Amphion paid two separate line rates • a pay rate for traditional typed lines • a pay rate for edited lines • The compensation model would look like this • $0.090-.093/traditional line • $0.090 Quality level 1 98.8% to 99.1% • $0.091 Quality level 2 99.2% to 99.5% • $0.092 Quality level 3 99.6% to 99.9% • $0.093 Quality level 4 100% • $0.060-.063/edited line • $0.060 Quality level 1 98.8% to 99.1% • $0.061 Quality level 2 99.2% to 99.5% • $0.062 Quality level 3 99.6% to 99.9% • $0.063 Quality level 4 100%
We get the same results . . . • Example #1: 2 different line rates 1000 lines typed x .09 = $90.00 1000 lines edited x .06 = $60.00 Total dollars:$150.00 • Example #2: Amphion’s 1 “adjusted” line rate using the “conversion” factor of 1.5 to 1 1000 edited lines divided by 1.5 = 667 lines (rounded up) 1000 typed lines = 1000 lines Total dollars: 1000 + 667 = 1667 "adjusted" lines x .09 = $150.03 *rounding difference • It results in the same pay whether you prefer to think of it as two different pay rates or whether you use Amphion's adjusted line rate, conversion factor, and one pay rate
Additional Pay Incentives • Productivity Enhancement • $.005/line on all adjusted lines > 13,500 per pay period • Shift Differential • Semi-annual wage update based on past 6 months’ quality reviews
Hours AND Lines • MTs commit to hours AND lines • Hours per work week (Saturday through Friday) • Lines per pay period (twice a month) • Not per hour or per day • Full-time • 35-40 hours/week AND • 10,000 adjusted lines/pay period • Part-time: • 20-29 hours/week AND • 5,000 adjusted lines/ pay period • Weekend-Only • 16 weekend hours AND • 4,000 adjusted lines/pay period
Production Goals • To meet the FT requirements of the MT position • 10,000 adjusted lines/88 hours = 114 adjusted lines/hour goal • To meet the PT requirements of the MT position • 5,000/44 hours = 114 adjusted lines/hour goal • To earn $15/hour* = 167 adjusted lines/hour • To earn $18/hour = 200 adjusted lines/hour • To earn $20/hour = 222 adjusted lines/hour • To earn $22/hour = 244 adjusted lines/hour • To earn $25/hour = 278 adjusted lines/hour *Amphion MTs average $15/hour and 167 adjusted lines/hour
