CELLS The cell is the basic structural and functional unit of all known living organisms. It is the smallest unit of life that is classified as a living thing, and is often called the building block of life.Organisms can be classified as unicellular (consisting of a single cell; including most bacteria) or multicellular (including plants and animals). Humans contain about 10 trillioncells. Most plant and animal cells are between 1 and 100 µm and therefore are visible only under the microscope.
BATTERY • An electrical battery is one or more electrochemical cells that convert stored chemical energy into electrical energy. Since the invention of the first battery (or "voltaic pile") in 1800 by Alessandro Volta and especially since the technically improved Daniell cell in 1836, batteries have become a common power source for many household and industrial applications. According to a 2005 estimate, the worldwide battery industry generates in sales each year with 6% annual growth.
ADVANTAGE OF CELL • Cell can movable. • Cell can store electrical energy. • Cell provide movabulity to the electrical appliances. • Cell are carriable hance can be effectivety use in remote aeria.
Combination of cell • We can combine tow or cell to form a battery . This combinat can be of two form 1-SERIES COMINATION- 2- PARALLEL COMBINATION-
SERIES COMBINATION the combination of cell in which the positives terminalof one cell get conneted with the negative terminal to other cell. This combination form a chain.
Parallel combination • In parallel combination the positive terminal of one cell get Connect with positive terminals of next cell and similar happens with the negetive terminals
Solar cell • A solar cellis a solid state electrical device that converts the energy of light directly into electricity by the photovoltaic effect. • Assemblies of solar cells are used to make solar modules which are used to capture energy from sunlight. When multiple modules are assembled t, the resulting integrated group of modules all oriented in one plane is referred to in the solar industry as a solar panel. The electrical energy generated from solar modules, referred to as solar power, is an example of solar energy.
