  1. KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA MISSACANT S.U.P.W TOPIC: CELL AND BATERRY SUBMITTED TO: Sanjay Sir. SUBMITTED BY: Pradyut Banik. ROLL NO:36 CLASS:VII

  2. CELL • The cell is a device which converts chemical energy into electrical energy. The cell has stored or potential form of energy. Due to the property of storing of energy the cell are used as emergency electric supply source as well as electric supply source in remote areas.

  3. BATTERY • - An electrical battery is one or more electrochemical cells that convert stored chemical energy into electrical energy.Since the invention of the first battery (or "voltaic pile") in 1800 by Alessandro Volta and especially since the technically improved Daniell cell in 1836, batteries have become a common power source for many household and industrial applications. According to a 2005 estimate, the worldwide battery industry generates US$48 billion in sales each year, with 6% annual growth.

  4. ADVANTAGE OF CALL • The cell is moveable to the electrical appliance. • The cell can stored electrical energy, we can store the energy. • The cell are carrible, hense can be effectively use in remote areas. • The cell are rechargeable.

  5. COMBINATION OF CELLS Series Combination:- The combination of cells in which the positive terminal of one cell gets connected with the negative of next cell, this combination forms a chain type structure. In this combination the total voltage is taken or calculated across far terminal of cell 1 and for terminal of last cell .(As shone in diagram the output voltage is taken from positive terminal of C1 and negative terminal of Cn.)

  6. PARALLEL COMBINATION • In parallel combination the positive terminal of one cell gets connected with positive terminal of next cell and similar happens with negative terminal.

  7. SOLAR CELL SOLAR CELL A solar cell (also called photovoltaic cell or photoelectric cell) is a solid state electrical device that converts the energy of light directly into electricity by the photovoltaic effect. Assemblies of solar cells are used to make solar modules which are used to capture energy from sunlight. When multiple modules are assembled together (such as prior to installation on a pole-mounted tracker system), the resulting integrated group of modules all oriented in one plane is referred to in the solar industry as a solar panel. The electrical energy generated from solar modules, referred to as solar power, is an example of solar energy.
