  5. Why I want to become a teacher: • Because I love being around kids. • I want to help shape them into good citizens and individuals. • I want to help them challenge themselves and achieve the goals that they set for themselves. • I want to see the light bulb go off when they finally learn something and see their smile as they get things. • Make an impact on their lives and for a love of education.

  6. Issues That I feel are Important: • NCLB • Partial Inclusion • Bullying • More Special Education Majors/ Teachers needed

  7. What I want my Students To get out me as a teacher: • I want the students that I have to become better citizens in the community, by having them up lift there peers. • They should all feel that education doesn’t have to be a struggle, but that it can be fun too. • I want them to see the labels of special education as motivation and not an obstacle. • Not to look at labels that people have, but to see people for who they are and get to know their character.

  8. My educational philosophy: • I feel that education is the most important thing that any child can do and that it helps shape the child into who they will become in the future. I also want to push my students to challenge themselves, and never feel they can’t do anything. I feel as though labels of students shouldn’t hold them back, yet be used to motivate them. I believe that we should have partial inclusion for those in special education and that NCLB has been flawed. This is because so many kids just get pushed through the system and teachers don’t want to take themto help those who learn slower. I feel that child are the future and we should show them how to be open minded. Also as a teacher I feel I must respect my students in order for them to respect me.
