We want to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Education… the best educational opportunities for our children so they can reach their full potential. We want to provide our children access to the best schools and universities because we know that educated people are every nation’s most important asset; they drive economic as well as cultural development. Community… stabilized communities with an increased quality of life. We work hard to ensure the future of our communities through social, economical and cultural support.

THE KRONOSPAN SCHOLARSHIP About the Kronospan Scholarship The Kronospan Scholarship offers one selected student a year from Central and Eastern Europe the chance to study and complete a 4 year Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at Babson College, USA The scholarship covers all costs, including: tuition, room and board, textbooks, health insurance, transportation to and from Babson College and aims to support a bright and promising student from an economically disadvantaged family. The Kronospan Foundation has so far invested 1,000,000 USD in this project and will continue to invest another 1,000,000 USD in the following years. Scholars are offered internships at Kronospan throughout their time of study, positioning them to take on a leading position of employment within the company in future.

6. BABSON COLLEGE About Babson CollegeBabson is known to be one of the US Top 20 Business Programs and has been continuously ranked the #1 school for entrepreneurship. Admission to Babson is highly competitive, out of 7,649 applicants only 588 were accepted in 2015/16. 29% of the student population are from an international background (Non-US citiziens). Being in an international environment, surrounded by ambitious and tremendously talented people, has opened up my eyes to a completely new world. Every day at Babson is something new. I have learned so much since I came here, I have met dozens of wonderful people all over the world and I have friends from Serbia, Greece, Morocco, Georgia and Thailand. Every class that I am attending is interesting and fun, my professors are very helpful and the resources on campus provide me everything I need to learn as much as I can and become a successful entrepreneurial leader.

This is why I did not hesitate at all to take the first step and apply for the Kronospan Scholarship. Never before had I taken part in a Micro Lab as interesting and engaging as the one organized by Kronospan in Poland. I dream of bringing ideas and entrepreneurial thought I will learn at Babson back to Poland.”

MEET OUR KRONOSPAN SCHOLARS Name: Anna Saltykova Home Country: Ukraine Grade at Babson September 2018: Sophomore Contact: Anna’s message to future Kronospan Scholarship applicants:“The application process was very demanding, but that is what you kind of expect when such golden chances are coming your way. I knew from the beginning that I will put my best in every aspect of it. As part of the selection process the travels to Riga and Prague for the first time were very exciting for me, but I was even more delighted to meet other participants from all over Europe. We had a blast exploring the factory in Riga, as well as sharing our own cultures and views.  Mere words can barely describe my feelings when I got the news about the final decision. I literally cried tears of joy and felt extremely happy to be set off to this unbelievable journey of pursuing my dream career.”

This has probably been your choice and there've been many times when your friends were having fun but you decided to do work instead. Prepare for this to change. If until now hard work and effort set you apart, at Babson this type of behavior is expected of everybody. The competition with your classmates, but also the collaboration with them will enable you to grow in unexpectedly interesting ways.”

13. 2018 / 2019 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS What Babson is expecting from you as an applicant: From their international students, which make up 29% of the student body, Babson College expects the following to apply: - Rank in the Top 5-15% of their high school class - Earned grades of A-/B+ (or foreign equivalent) in their coursework - Enrolled in high school (secondary school) courses at the Honors/AP/IB (or foreign equivalent) level - Earned an average of 108 on the TOEFL exam (Babson’s minimum score is 100) - Were exceptional leaders in and outside of the classroom
