  2. The Experiment • The point = see if there are different amounts of radiation in atmosphere at different elevations

  3. The Hypothesis • Team came up with several different ideas. • #1 = radiation = higher at high elevation = closer to solar radiation or • #2 = radiation = higher at low elevation = closer to radiation emitting machinery + heat of Earth’s surface or #3 = radiation = same

  4. The Experiment • Sending a Geiger counter in a gondola up to 300 meters (1,000 ft) to take radiation readings. • Will take a 10 minute reading at ground level + three 10 minute readings in three 100 meter increments.
