Preface • Preface When you meet someone for the first time, what do you usually do? Do you introduce yourself? If you do, how do you do that. In this section you will learn kinds of expressions and examples of introducing yourself. You will also learn how to introduce someone to another. Further, it also explains some expressions to great and part. Now, let’s learn more about them.

I. Greetings and Parting • Here are some expressions you can use to greet and part people. Notes: You say “Good morning/morning” at 12 midnight up to 12 noon. You say “Good afternoon/afternoon” at 12:01 p.m. up to 6 p.m. You say “Good evening/evening” at 6:01 p.m. up to 9 p.m. You say “Good night “ when you want to leave other people at night, such as you want to go to sleep or you leave someone’s house.

Exercise I • Task 1 Listen to your teacher reading the short conversation below. Repeat after him/her. Practice your pronunciation. Dialogue 1 Sherly : Hi, my name is Sherly. What is your name?
