  2. Notice of Arrival • 33 CFR 160.202 • U.S. and foreign vessels bound for or departing from ports or places in the United States • Vessels less than 300 GT exempt (unless CDC)

  3. Submission of NOA • USCG National Vessel Movement Center (NVMC) • https://enoads.nvmc.uscg.gov

  4. Submission of NOA (cont) • 33 CFR 160.212 time requirements • NOA changes • Information Required in an NOA • 33 CFR 160.206 • (6) Operational condition of equipment required by 33 CFR 164.35 (i.e. ARPA, Echo Depth Sounder, GPS, etc.) • submit request for deviation through CG Sector San Francisco Command Center: sfoscc@uscg.mil

  5. Hazardous Conditions • Immediately contact nearest CG Sector office • Command Center (415) 399-3547 • Hazardous condition: any condition that may adversely affect the safety of any vessel, bridge, structure, or shore area or the environmental quality of any port, harbor, or navigable waterway of the United States. It may, but need not, involve collision, allusion, fire, explosion, grounding, leaking, damage, injury or illness of a person aboard, or manning-shortage.

  7. Recommended Best Practices • Submit early • Be proactive • Include reason for requesting waivers • Get a receipt from NVMC
