  5. Mission Statement • Mission Statement: To provide the opportunity for all students to develop academically through the use of technology, in a respectful, nurturing and globally connected environment.

  6. District’s Vision Statement Vision – South Chicago County School District will improve the academic performance of all students, assisting them to achieve excellence and making computer accessible the entire student body.

  7. Beliefs • Computers can be integrated in all subject taught throughout the district • All students can improve academically when treated fairly by everyone in the learning environment • Our goal is to establish a curriculum that is flexible meeting the needs of all groups, regardless of race, color, disability, national origin, sexual orientation, religion or gender. • Collaboration with local businesses in vital, while providing computers for all students in the South Chicago County District Schools • Emphasis should be placed on teacher retention and learning and less on bureaucratic paper work in our schools • Teachers should have clearly stated and written daily curriculum objectives using technology integration in all subjects • Our overall goal for students is that all students will improve academically and given the assistance needed regardless of race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin or disability. • We belief that communication is key to an effective and successful school district. We encourage educators and students of South Chicago School District to participate in a free and open exchange throughout or schools, the Central Office and to engage in global reciprocity with other innovative school districts

Vision for Technology Usage The technology vision of the Chicago County School District is to: • ensure equal access to technology to support district goals for student achievement • provide global access to information • meet the curricular  needs of all learners • provide access to the general curriculum • refine critical thinking skills and foster creativity • provide a medium for expression and communication • collect, assess, and share performance information • improve the effectiveness of administrative tasks • provide skills and proficiencies necessary for the workforce • outreach to the community to improve technology literacy
