E N D
Justification • A research by Nyugenet al (2005) found that there is cultural mismatch in the form of cooperative and collaborative learning between students in Asian countries which have characteristics of a collective society and students in Western countries which tend to be individualistic. The same aspects of peer learning in Western countries may not be culturally appropriate or applicable to Asian students. • Investigate if Malaysian students adopting group work face similar problems (motivation difficulties, interaction difficulties and logistical difficulties) as their Western counterparts. • Provides opportunity for students to voice out/ feedback on the shortcomings of peer learning experience. • Ways to improve peer learning as part of the curriculum can be suggested, which will be useful for lecturers and students alike in future projects.
