3. General information 20-December-2005 governor of Telšiai county approved land consolidation project area of Židikai and Ukrinai cadastral area.

4. General information Land consolidation project area is located in North-West part of Lithuania

5. General information 685 ha of agricultural land is the subject for land reparcelling.

6. General information 54 private land owners and 1 trustee of the state owned land participate.

7. General information 664 ha private and 21 ha state owned land (12 ha governmental usage and 9 ha on free land of the state fund land.)

General information Some statistics: • 120 land parcels is the subject for land reparcelling. • Biggest land parcel is ~39 ha, smallest – 0,11 ha. • Average area of land parcels is 6 ha. • Average productivity factor of agricultural soil is 41 points (highest – 58, smallest – 18 points.) • Average price of agricultural land is 1187 EUR for 1 hectare.

9. Reasons for land consolidation Reasons for land consolidation (identified by the land owners): • Enlarge farm holdings; • To improve farm structure; • Form compact land tenures of the farms; • Improve the local road network; • Reduce distances between cultivated land parcels; • To create territorial base for infrastructure improvement; • Identify the areas where land improvement is necessary (mainly drainage).

Expected results Expected results: • At least 13 land owners will enlarge farm holdings. • For one land owner, which has 15 land parcels will be formed 3 compact land parcels. • For other land owner, which has 5 land parcels will be formed 3 compact land parcels. • For six land owners where each has 2 land parcels will be formed one land parcel for each.

20. Expected results Expected results: • For 9 land owners will be better access and shorter distance to their land parcels. • 13 land owners are going to sell their parcels to other participants of this project. • On state owned land will be formed 0,50 ha gravel pit. • EVERY FARMER IS HAPPY!
