Intro to Aksum: ________________________________________________________ Let’s see where we’re heading today! • Aksum was the name of a city and a kingdom which is essentially modern-day northern Ethiopia • The peak of Aksum’s power came with the invasion of Meroe around 320 CE, which caused the final decline of the Kushite kingdom AXUM conquers KUSH!
