Percentage • means out of 100 so the global village represents the world in percentages. • There are 50 men and 50 women.
Percentages • 47 live in an urban area • How many live in a non-urban area? • If 12 are disabled what percentage of the world’s population is not disabled?
The world’s religions • 33 are Christians • 21 are Muslims • 6 are Buddhists • 1 is Sikh • 1 is Jewish • 11 are other religions • 11 are non-religious • 3 are atheists • How many are Hindus?
