Project objectives The aim of the project is to contribute to make the business of small and medium winegrowers sustainable in the long run by enhancing their capacity to increase sales and diversify income through cooperation in the field of wine tourism. The project will lead to the creation of a cross-border tourist product called “Visegrad Wine Route” by creating the first elements (logo, website, brochure, etc.) needed to launch it as the basis for further development of cooperation.
Expectedoutputs a partnership agreement; a joint logo, slogan and layout promoting the Visegrad Wine Route as a common cross-border tourist product; a website in English hosting a directory of small and medium winegrowers involved in the project and a facebook page; a promotional brochure in English containing information about the regions concerned and about the small and medium winegrowers involved in the project; - a 6-day study tour along the Visegrad Wine Route for 13 persons – 3 persons from each partner country (including 1 interpreter/tutor from the local partner and 2 representatives of tour operators from each country) + the project coordinator. The tour operators invited will be specialised in wine tourism or regional tourism.
Expectedoutcomes an increase in the revenues of the winegrowers involved in the project, the enhancement of cooperation among them. In order to assess progresses in this 2 domains winegrowers will undergo ex-ante evaluation at the beginning of the project, mid-term evaluation at the end of the project and ex-post evaluation 6 months after the end of the project. The evaluation will be carried out using an anonymous questionnaire. The project will be deemed successful if the results of the evaluation show a positive trend in the above mentioned domains which can be partly attributed to the project results.

Studytour Discussion about the preparation and logistics of the study tour: 1) Confirm the dates and the places. According to the project application the study tour will last 6 days from 12/05/2013 until 17/05/2013 with the following schedule: - Day 1 (12/05/2013): arrival of the participants in Jasło (PL) in the afternoon. In the evening welcome dinner, presentation of the participants and study tour program. Day 2 (13/05/2013): in the morning visit to 1 or 2 vineyards. Lunch. After lunch short visit to open air museum (skansen) in Jasło and departure to Malá Tŕňa (3h). Dinner. Day 3 (14/05/2013): in the morning visit to 1 or 2 vineyards. Lunch. After lunch departure to Pécs (5h ½). Dinner. Day 4 (15/05/2013): in the morning visit to 1 or 2 vineyards. Lunch. After lunch departure to Bořetice (5h). Dinner. Day 5 (16/05/2013): in the morning visit to 1 or 2 vineyards. Lunch. After lunch summary of the study tour with the participants. Farewell dinner. Day 6 (17/05/2013): departure of participants (after breakfast)
Studytour (2) 2) Amount of participants: According to the project proposal 3 persons from each country (2 tourist sector stakeholders + 1 tutor from the project partner) + the project coordinator, i.e. in total: 3 persons x 4 countries + project coordinator = 13 persons 3) Transport: Each partner shall provide a car for the transport (own in-kind contribution) driven by the national tutor. In total there will be 4 cars (1 for each country), each transporting 3 persons (except for the Polish car – 4 persons)
PR activities (1) Planned in the project application: 1) Website and facebook page, 2) Distribution of the brochure through the winegrowers involved and the V4 tourist boards in Poland, 3) Study tour, 5) Negotiations with tourist boards aimed at including the VWR in the local tourist promotion strategy.
