Finding Our Way • Q: What were the responsibilities of a kinsman-redeemer? • A: T responsibilities of a kinsman redeemer were to marry a woman whose husband had died, and redeem her husbands property, and to keep the name for many generations to come.
Finding Our Way • Q: What purposes for Ruth do the beginning and ending of the book reveal? • A: Ruth was supposed to help Naomi around and glean wheat in order both of them to survive (beginning). The ending reveals the plan that God had for Ruth and Boaz: To marry and become parents of a child they would call Obed (servant of God).
