INTRODUCTION • Every Nebraska student deserves the opportunity to learn from high-quality, standards-aligned instructional materials to prepare for success in college, career, and civic life. • The NIMC informs and supports the decisions made locally related to curriculum and instructional materials.
EQUITY The Nebraska Instructional Materials Collaborative (NIMC) promotes and advances equity.
SUPPORT Supporting teachers by providing both high-quality instructional materials and the training needed to use the materials well positions teachers to have a greater impact on student achievement.
ACTION Teachers know that many of the materials they have currently do not meet student needs and they are taking action to fill in the gaps.
DECISION Selecting high-quality instructional materials does not have to be a guessing game— there are resources focused on informing this decision.
IMPROVEMENT Transitioning to high-quality instructional materials can be a cost-effective school improvement strategy.

Nebraska Leading the Way Nebraska is one of only eight states that have been selected to join the CCSSO Instructional Materials and Professional Development Network, leading the nation in increasing the capacity of districts to provide teachers with high-quality, standards-aligned instructional materials.
Our Expectations Increased use of instructional materials that are aligned to the state standards and of high-quality in all classrooms. Increase in the percentage of teachers receiving professional development that improves their knowledge and ability to use standards-aligned instructionalmaterials. Incentivize teacher preparation programs to integrate state standards and aligned instructional materials into their preparation programs.
