ONEMI, The National Emergency Bureau, Ministry of the Interior, CHILE, is the technical organism dealing with Planning and Coordination of Ministeries and Society on Prevention, Mitigation Preparedness, Early Warning and Response, in Emergencies and Disasters. ONEMI Risk Mangement , Standards and Control for coordination purposes with the National Civil Protection System.
Integrated by Public and Private, Militars and Civilians and Volunteer Organizations whose Mandate, Capacity and Resources allow them to be part of the National Civil Protection System. Their action is developed at local, provincial and regional level with different organizations that mantain their identity, and freedom under the umbrella of an efficient National System.
