National 4-H Conference • Where: The National 4-H Center, Chevy Chase, MD (Close to Washington, D.C.) • When: March/April • Working conference in which youth & adults assist in guiding 4-H Youth development programs nationally and in their communities • Brings together youth, volunteer leaders and Extension staff from across the US & Canada

Why Attend Nat’l 4-H Conference? • Learn about 4-H in other states & Canada • Help guide future direction of 4-H • Visit ND Senators & Representative on Capitol Hill • Build leadership skills in professional workshops • Gather new ideas to apply back home • Visit our Nation’s Capitol • Make new friends and have fun!

National 4-H Congress • Where: Atlanta, GA • When: November (Thanksgiving break) • Provides 4-Hers 15-19 with high-quality educational & cross-cultural experience • Focuses on issues and trends in cultural diversity, group dynamics, community service & agriculture • Designed to address needs of youth while developing capable competent & caring citizens

  6. How Do You Apply • Must be 15-19 by January 1 of the year of the event • Fill out ND 4-H Youth Delegate Application for Out of State Opportunities (4 page application) • Applications are on ND 4-H Web Site • Application deadline Aug 1 of every year
