Multimodal Freight Systems Subcommittee focus • Identify critical freight transportation infrastructure needs: air, water ports, rail and roadways • Identify needed “Connectors” among the various modes of freight transportation (i.e. rail intermodal) • Measure reliability of infrastructure to support global supply chain
Subcommittee actions • Outline infrastructure advantages and disadvantages • Develop freight mobility map to highlight Indiana’s infrastructure strengths • Build metrics to track reliability of infrastructure • Utilize INDOTs Multimodal Freight and Mobility Study & Plan (July 07 – July 08)
