2. Leave the trash at the store! Tell them to hold the shoe boxes and excess packing material! Hold on to reusable crates and bags, then save them for move-out. Remove tubes from carpet rolls before arriving on campus. Remove appliances and fans from boxes before arrival. Empty and flatten cardboard boxes used for packing. Recycling Tips for Move In Reduce and recycle your waste during move-in! Duke Recycles also manages the Duke Free Store. A program that enables, students, staff, and faculty to donate and/or take any gently used office supplies, books, classroom supplies, kitchen supplies, or other various items. You are FREE to leave whatever you don't want anymore, and FREE to take whatever is available!
