  1. MCFRS Mobile Data Computer (MDC) In-Station Training Tutorial Welcome to the MDC In-Station Training Tutorial. This module is designed to introduce you to the PS2000 Mobile Data Computer and provide refresher training from your MDC class. Please press the Next buttonto continue.

  2. MDC Dispatch Message A29, you ran a call earlier today to 7500 Carroll for a woman with abdominal pain. You’re back at the station and need to write your EMBRS report and you want to get the specifics from your Unit History. The station’s CAD system is currently in use, so you decide to use the MDC to retrieve the information. You’re pretty resourceful like that. This was the original dispatch message. Click the Next button to continue.

  3. MDC Dispatch Message To retrieve the Unit History, press the UHST button once. Click it now.

  4. Unit History Here’s the Unit History. Using the scroll bar on the right side of the window, you would scroll down to find the information you need.

  5. Unit History If there’s too much information on the Unit History – maybe because you were busy and ran several calls – you can also use the Event History to find the information you may need. Press the EVHW button; click it once now.

  6. Event History Again, you’ll use the vertical scroll bars to find all of the info you need. Since you’re in the station and didn’t go out on a call, there’s no need to mark your unit available again (AOR/AIQ). At this time, you may end this scenario program by pressing the Esc (escape) key on your keyboard. If you’re viewing this on-line, simply click the Back button in your browser.
