  2. PIF +PPG = Project • PIF defines project objective, components, outcomes, draft outputs • PPG is a preparatory process for elaborating the detailed project, budget, etc. • Purpose of this phase is not to start doing the project

  3. PPG components • Detailed assessment of policy and regulatory setting (baseline) • Capacity assessment of agencies to support project activities • Defining specifics of on-the-ground action related to mitigation and biodiversity conservation • Feasibility analysis and budget

  4. End products • CEO Endorsement document • UNDP project document

  5. PPG team National consultants: Lead consultant, Policy and law, biodiversity, LULUCF, Pests, Fire, Silviculture, Socio-economy International consultants: Lead consultant, Forest carbon
