Prepare for the Meeting • Set date, time, and location of meeting • Regularly scheduled meetings allow for advanced planning • Send reminder notice at least 1 week before meeting • Send agenda at least 1 – 2 days before meeting • Require confirmation of attendance
Set a Robust Agenda • Send agenda at least 1 – 2 days before meeting • Include supporting documents • Every board member has bylaws and chapter agreement and manual • Assign responsibility for every item • Encourage additions and input • Do a preliminary call/correspondence with exec committee and/or participating board members
