[23/1-19/2] MOM report Zisman Apollonio 23/1/09 19/2/09 12/2/09 • Relevant Issues: • NO target since december accident • no data taking • we have 80 days (to ISIS startup) • Try to turn a failure into an opportunity? Hogdson MICE VC 12/2/2009
A pretty dense schedule! • target re-design (J. Tarrant, this VC) • fixing the solenoid (M. Courthold et al., this VC) • levelling the floor downstream Q9 • minor issues MICE VC 12/2/2009
Pump vacuum Cool down 10xMLI sheets on DS end placed 12/2/09 • DKsol vacuum done • Cooling down now DKsol ready NB: only 4 days from ISIS startup! DSA Accessible! 11/2/09 MLI sheets on US end: need Beam shield removal! (see M.C. talk for further details) MICE VC 12/2/2009
Floor levelling • floor DS of Q9 is not sufficiently flat • unevenness up to 2cm reported (T. Hayler) • a complete survey + levelling of the area is needed prior to laying down the floor aluminium plate • this (unfortunately) requires TOF1/KL to be temporarily moved • TOF1/KL planned to be back on time for the next Data Taking • Complete plan for un-cabling/move has been discussed with detector responsibles (M.Bonesini/L.Tortora) • Experts from Milan/Rome on their way (18/2) to assist with operations (in particular KL horizontalisation) • At the moment KL/TOF cables have been properly marked and de-cabled MICE VC 12/2/2009
Two minor issues Small leak noticed on Q7: mirror plates removed & being investigated (Spensley) M. Bonesini requested some PMTs (from TOF0) back to Milan for test/repair. Cosmic Bar to be removed Should be easier now (DSA free access) MICE VC 12/2/2009
