SUPPLEMTARY HEALTH DEPARTMENT The Departament was restructured in 2010 in order to represent the health care providers with the regulatory agencies, the Ministry of Health and the health Insurance companies. FUNCTIONS Advice the CNS in the issues regarding supplementary health. Take part in committes of the regulatory agencies and Ministry of Health Represent the CNS in events. Herald information about the newest laws to the affiliated parties.

SUPPLEMTARY HEALTH DEPARTMENT FIELD OF ACTION INTERNAL WORK Monthly meetings at CNS in Brasilia in order to debate the norms issued by the regulatory agencies (ANS, ANVISA) and their impact on the health services providers. Advise the board of CNS when it comes to the regulatory agencies actions and its impact on the health services providers.
SUPPLEMTARY HEALTH DEPARTMENT FIELD OF ACTION EXTERNAL WORK Represent the CNS in events related to supplementary health in many governmental departments and federations. Represent the CNS in the work groups of the Regulatory Agencies, Ministry of Health and other departments.
SUPPLEMTARY HEALTH DEPARTMENT FIELD OF ACTION EXTERNAL WORK NATIONAL HEALTH AGENCY Participations COPISS is the committee of padronization of billing message exchange and all health terminology, may it be medical, nursing, material, medication, eletronic or printed, between all health insurance companies and health service providers (hospitals, labs, imaging, quimotherapy, etc.) COGEP is the implementation commitee of the quality monitoring program on health services providers using performance indicators.
SUPPLEMTARY HEALTH DEPARTMENT FIELD OF ACTION EXTERNAL WORK NATIONAL HEALTH AGENCY Participations Committee of Hospital Remuneration Models that establishes new payment criteria that allow the improvement on the relationship between the health Insurance companies and the hospitals. Committee of Procedures List which includes or excludes procedures from the list of compulsory actions of the health Insurance companies.
SUPPLEMTARY HEALTH DEPARTMENT FIELD OF ACTION EXTERNAL WORK NATIONAL AGENCY OF SANITARY SURVEILLANCE Participations In Public Consultations about various topics related to the quality and safety of patients. e.g.: good health practices in the hospitals, endoscopy services, safety in radiology clinics, implementation of Safety in Hospital Departments.
SUPPLEMTARY HEALTH DEPARTMENT FIELD OF ACTION EXTERNAL WORK MINISTRY OF HEALTH Participations In the Epidemic Diseases Surveilance Committee which follows up on the actions on eventual epidemics.
SUPPLEMTARY HEALTH DEPARTMENT FIELD OF ACTION EXTERNAL WORK MEDICINE FEDERAL COUNCIL Participations In the Supervision Manual Reformulation Committee which will set the minimal needs to the safe functioning of health units in Brazil.
SUPPLEMTARY HEALTH DEPARTMENT FIELD OF ACTION EXTERNAL WORK EVENTS Participations Represent the CNS in events related to supplementary health in governmental departments, private ones or the hospital federations that are part of the CNS. Take part on health events as a speaker helping to spread information about the regulatory actions taken by the regulatory agencies or the Ministry of Health.
