Canadian Agricultural Partnership (CAP) The Canadian Agricultural Partnership (the Partnership) is a new five-year commitment by Canada’s federal, provincial and territorial governments that supports Canada's Agri-food and Agri-products sector. Strategic initiatives including cost-share funding will support projects in the following key priority areas, with research and innovation continuing to be a focus across all programming EDO’s Session May 28, 2018

Cost-Share ProgrammingIntake Dates Organizations and Collaborations: • May 11 to July 19, 2018 Program guide, pre-proposal, and application forms are now available on the Agriculture Adaptation Council website at: adaptcouncil.org/program/cap Producers, Processors and Other Businesses Upcoming Intakes – Producers and other Businesses: • August 7 to 28, 2018 • January 9 to 30, 2019 Program details, including how to apply, program guides, and application forms will be available online at: www.ontario.ca/agpartnership Upcoming Intakes – Processors and other Businesses: • August 7 to 28, 2018 • November 26 to December 17, 2018 Application intakes for producers, processors and other businesses will be scheduled at intervals between April 1, 2018 and March 31, 2023.
Cost-Share ProgrammingProducer, Processor and Other Businesses Program Guides New interactive online program materials will help producers and processors and other businesses easily find project categories aligned to their business plans. Applicants are encouraged to use this new resource: www.ontarioprogramguides.net PDF / hardcopies continue to be available.
Cost-Share ProgrammingOnline Enrolment & Application Applicants • will submit applications online at ontarioprograms.net • must complete an enrolment form for their business before having access to the application Applications • will only be available during an intake for available project categories • can be saved and edited prior to being submitted; but must be submitted before the intake closes Applicants can receive technical support with the online application through the Agricultural Information Contact Centre: • Monday to Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. • 1-877-424-1300
EDO’s Session May 28, 2018 Rural Economic Development Program (RED) • The Rural Economic Development (RED) program funds projects that stimulate economic growth in Ontario’s rural and Indigenous communities. • You can get up to 50% of your project costs or a maximum $100,000. We fund activities that grow your local economy and remove barriers to economic development. Some examples include: •attracting investment •creating jobs •supporting entrepreneurs
EDO’s Session May 28, 2018 Rural Economic Development Program (RED) You can get money to plan or implement a project. When you apply, choose the category that best suits your project: Category 1: Planning •develop plans and strategies •conduct research and analysis Category 2: Implementation •implement sector development plans •diversify the local economy •undertake marketing and branding activities •attract and retain skilled workers Read the RED program guidelines for details about eligible projects and the application process.
EDO’s Session May 28, 2018 How to apply: You must email us a complete package that includes: •a completed RED program application form •a letter from your financial institution and three years of financial records (required for all applicants except for municipalities) •proof of legal status such as articles of incorporation (required for all applicants except for municipalities) •support letters from stakeholders •project cost estimates •other documentation that supports the project (e.g. plans, feasibility studies) If your application package is incomplete, it won’t be assessed. For detailed instruction on how to apply, follow the steps in the program guidelines.
EDO’s Session May 28, 2018 Eligibility: See the guidelines for complete eligibility details. You can apply on behalf of: • a legal entity that is a not-for-profit • a municipality • a local services board • an Indigenous community or organization
EDO’s Session May 28, 2018 Deadline We’re accepting applications from 9 a.m. on July 30, 2018 until 5 p.m. on September 28, 2018. Application forms will be available during this period.
