  3. PREPARING CEMENTS INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREPARING POWDER • Overfill the measuring scoop with powder and then remove surplus powder using the edge of the cut-offinsert inthe bottle neck.

  4. PREPARING CEMENTS INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREPARING LIQUID • hold the bottle vertically when dosing liquid • to achieve optimum drop size, squeeze the bottle gently • any dried material must be removed from the dropper

PREPARING KAVITAN • Place powder and liquid on a smooth disposable paper pad or a glass plate • add powder to liquid in 2 – 4 doses • mix powder and liquid using a plastic or stainless spatula at the shortest possible time (max. 30 – 45 s.) • Properly prepared cement is homogenous, flexible andnon-adhesive material

  13. PREPARING ADHESOR MIXING PROCEDURE • mix on a glass plate with stainless spatula at • 23 ± 1 ºC (to prolong the working time, mixing at 20 ºC is recommended) • divide powder into 8 – 12 partsand gradually, slowly mix in to avoid lumps

  14. PREPARING CEMENT Mistakes in preparation • Incorrect dose of powder or liquid • Differing size of drop while measuring • Inadequate mixing of whole amount of powder into liquid • The dropper must be kept clean

  15. PREPARING CEMENTS TIPS • Before turning the bottle to the vertical position, hold it at an angle of 45ºto remove air bubbles

  16. STORING CEMENTS • in a cold and dry place in a well sealed inner container • at temperature 5 ºC to 25 ºC • avoid temperature higher than 25 ºC !!! Seal the bottle and the jar carefully after withdrawing powder and liquid !!!!
