  5. Philosophy, Science, and History Between the 7th and 12th centuries, Islam became the center of a brilliant civilization and of a great scientific, philosophic, and artistic culture. Muslims had a great impact on Science and help preserve the writings and thoughts of many great thinkers.

  6. Arabs translated the work of Plato and Aristotle into Arabic. • These works were studies by Muslim scholars • these works were nearly lost to Europeans, but in the 12th century the Arabic translations were translated into Latin
