TCGA Opportunity Explore the ideas and potential areas of collaboration between TCGA and CRCHD partnerships to establish future funding opportunities and team science approach in biospecimen translational research efforts. • Breast and prostate cancer focus plus select other cancers • Tumor tissue plus blood from same patient • Minimum 10 cases to establish a contract (for one year) • Compatible with TCGA guidelines: • Primary tumor only (except for melanoma) • Snap frozen, 50-60 mg • No more than 20% necrosis; ; ≥ 60% tumor cells • Normal tissue: Blood (buffy coat/white cells); adjacent normal tissue or buccal cells; or ≥ 20µg high-quality DNA • All “Tier One” clinical Data Elements (15 or more) • Questions?
