  3. Introduction This section should contain a brief essay that outlines your teaching philosophy. You have probably written on this topic in more than one education course (specifically EDUC 160 and again in your methods course).

  6. Reflection and Artifact • You need an artifact for each area in which you are demonstrating competency. The artifact, such as a scanned picture of your students’ work, should be preceded by a reflection that : • Answers “what”: summarize the artifact that documents the experience, • Answers “so what”: what have you learned and how does this lead to meeting the standards, and • Answers “now what”: what are implications for future learning and/or refinements. The reflection should link to your artifact.
